Support Your Symphony Orchestra
We believe that music is for everyone. By joining with us to present outstanding orchestral experiences in the Yampa Valley, you champion access to the arts, help our community stay healthy and vibrant, and become part of an organization that’s building community.
Your support helps us produce innovative performances, mentor students of all ages, and connect the community through the world’s universal language that is music.
The arts are an economic engine – for every $1 invested in a nonprofit arts organization, $30 is generated… in the Yampa Valley!

Colorado Gives Day
It’s more than just a day. It’s something to feel good about.
Colorado Gives Day unites all Coloradans in a common goal to strengthen the state’s nonprofits by giving to their favorite charities online. This year, give to the organization that provides world-class music programming and vital music education, including as the funder of the Steamboat Springs High School Orchestra. Every donation helps our community be healthier and more vibrant!
Kathy Craig Memorial Fund
This fund is in honor of Kathy Craig, a longtime patron and supporter of the SSO and youth music education programming.
SSO Endowment
Created in 2022, the SSO Endowment was made possible by Sara Craig-Scheckman, in honor of Craig-Scheckman’s mother, Kathleen Willis Craig, who was a dedicated supporter of the Steamboat Symphony Orchestra, performing arts in the community and local education.
“A gift and donation of this magnitude to our organization is one that creates profound, long-term positive impacts,” said Jennifer Grathwohl, executive director of the Steamboat Symphony Orchestra, in a statement. “With this generosity, we will be establishing our first endowment, securing a sustainable future for the Steamboat Symphony Orchestra, allowing us to continue our impactful work with students and musicians of all ages, as well as share our world-class and innovative programming with the Yampa Valley.”
